Two Exhibitions Opening This Fall at the North Carolina Museum of Art

This fall, the North Carolina Museum of Art will open two major exhibitions.
Paris Studio
December 13, 2023 – February 20, 2024
The first, "Pompeii," will feature over 200 artifacts from the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, which was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 79 AD. The exhibition will explore the daily life of the people of Pompeii, from their homes and businesses to their art and religion.
The second exhibition, "Paris Studio," will focus on the work of a group of influential American artists who lived and worked in Paris in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, and drawings by such artists as Mary Cassatt, Edward Hopper, and John Singer Sargent.
